The days leading up to Christmas have kept a lot of us (myself included) pretty busy. Let’s not forget that the holidays are actually supposed to be fun…and in the spirit of such…here are three Christmas parties happening this weekend.
Tonight (12/16 at the Hi-tone).
Tonight at the Hi-tone, one of my absolutely favorite local bands, Tiger High, will be having their Christmas party. For a band that played their first show in March, this band has come out of the gates swinging this year. Their debut release, Myth Is This, is soon to get a CD release from Trashy Creatures Records with bonus tracks! They also made quite the impression at SoundLand’s Next Big Nashville festival back in September, getting a glowing review from My Old Kentucky blog.
Man Control is a relatively new band featuring James Goodwin and Dave Shouse (both of The New Mary Jane) and Robby Grant (of Vending Machine).
This show starts at 9:00pm, is $5 and 18 and up.

Tomorrow night (12/17) at the Hi-tone, Shangri-La will be having their Christmas party.
The Magic Kids will be headlining Shangri-La’s Christmas party tomorrow night at the Hi-tone.
Fraysia will also be playing, and DJ Buck Wilders will be spinning records. Admission is $5 and a can of food for the Mid-South Food Bank. The show starts at 9:00pm and is 18 and up.
